What Is An Intimate Marriage?

Intimacy is a feeling of closeness and connection in interpersonal relationships, characterized by deep understanding, trust, and affection. It transcends physical contact and may bring emotional, mental, and spiritual understanding to the relationship. Intimacy is essential in personal relationships and builds over time as you connect with someone, grow to care about each other, and feel connected.

To build a healthy intimate relationship, it is important to be the first to initiate the conversation and ask questions about their interests. Physical intimacy, including touch, hugs, kisses, and sexual activity, releases oxytocin, often referred to as the “love hormone,” which has been linked to numerous health benefits, including reduced stress levels, lower blood pressure, and improved immune function. Trust is crucial in an intimate relationship, as it helps you feel comfortable and confident in your relationship.

Intimate relationships are interdependent, and the members of the relationship mutually influence each other. A key element of any intimate relationship is deep knowing of one another, which can be defined as “into-me-see.” Emotional intimacy in marriage is when a couple’s intimacy develops as a strong sense of closeness and love with each other.

Intimacy is not just about physical intimacy, but also about emotional intimacy, which is a deep sense of mutual knowledge and affection between a husband and wife. Spending more time together brings people together and can help strengthen relationships.

  • R.C. is such a Godly Pastor. He really spoke Truth about how Marriage is meant to be, through the Heart, and Love of God. This is such a Godly & Beautiful Sermon on Marriage Equality/Roles of BOTH the Husband and Wife. Thanks be to Our Lord and Father in Heaven, for speaking TRUTH through Pastor R.C. Sproul!!! Amen

  • What if a husband has no concern for his wife’s financial well-being? If she has to work to earn money to pay bills, buy everything she needs from her small earnings, and clean and keep the house, and keep the garden, and clean up after his children and him, while he earns a lot, and says he has to save money in case of emergencies. Is the wife wrong for thinking this is wrong? Does she continue to submit? If she has lost her admiration… And have become quarrelsome and angry..? She is sinning, right..?

  • The hard part is when God will deal with the unloving selfish husband later and shows us to submit onto a man who does not follow God’s word. That’s hard. People assume men love their wife and they assume she is some banshee if he doesn’t. I have learned a new thing….some people are takers. Faith in christ and the afterlife is our focus when this life hasn’t any benefit

  • RC Sproul is a very good teacher but I am a bit surprised at his comment about whether or not a woman wants to go to the Wednesday evening Bible study or get together that the husband in this theoretical situation would say no and he says You must obey your husband because it’s not the weekly assembly. Now although there is an indication that there was a weekly gathering on the Lord’s Day it’s very clear historically and I’m sure spiral would know this that they would assemble on every day they could which practically they couldn’t because they were working and so on but it could be a late night Wednesday it could be an early morning Tuesday and certainly they made sure they were assembling on the Sabbath Lord’s day Sunday which maybe controversial for some but not in God’s word and historical evidence they met on Sunday and called it the Sabbath in case if the church is to assemble that is a priority over the family assembly and I know that may be a bit controversial too and I know many teachers teach otherwise but it is the church that are God’s people not the family you could have the family and non-believers or have one who is a believer and the other an unbeliever and have a family of children and none of them are believers and yet your neighbor who is a brother or sister in Christ is your family that’s eternal and when they gather there is any gathering that should be our priority.

  • WHAT’S BIBLICAL WEDDING💒? Marriage is an important ceremony in the human life. Preachers used to touch on how God created Man & Woman but not what basis God created man & woman? God created man by His image & also He created woman comparable to man, meaning in the image of Adam God created Eve. So, both were ultimately in the image of God, the point is that comparable or compatibility is what His methodology & the same is still exists, as human beings are born based on this methodology both men & women. God created plants, animals, fruits, vegetables, and all of those creations are continuing till day, the similar way God created Adam & Eve, and all of the humans continue to be born, having the same methodology or pattern. So, according to God’s method or pattern only both men & women are born but through sin & sexuality which isn’t a God’s way but sinful or satanic way. Therefore, if anyone plans for a wedding 💒 then he has to go with a method or pattern of God & apply in search of his/her life partner. In this method, it’s fixed that there is a man born for a particular woman and the same is vice versa. There’s no need of looking or seeking a life partner out there in the school, college, workplace or in the places of worship or any other places. There’s no need to get counseling from the parents, elders, pastors who promote traditional counselling to look for a woman or man who is humble, gentle, honest, God fearing, loving & caring etc., In these kinds of method are seems moral and good but it’s not a biblical wedding 💒.

  • Jesus was born a male child Rev. 12:5 to replace the male component of humanity because they are genetically flawed. That is why Paul said “since by a man death, by a man also the resurrection of the dead, for as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive” in 1 Cor. 15: 21 – 22, and “the first man, Adam, became a living soul, the last Adam a life giving spirit” in v 45. Notice the contrast of natural and spiritual v44 in the comparison of Adam and Christ! The man had succumbed to Satan’s temptation and was given authority over all the kingdoms of the world to which Jesus said “Go, Satan! For it is written, you shall worship the lord your God and serve him only” Matt. 4: 1 – 10. In Gen. 2:14 was the beginning of Assyria, who is described in Ezekiel 31 as a cedar in Lebanon very high, its top among the clouds, the waters from the deep (Satan) made it grow high . . . its heart was haughty in its loftiness v.10 . . . Yahweh said ” . . .according to its wickedness I have driven it away v.11 . . . Alien tyrants of the nations have cut it down and left it v.12 on its ruin all the birds of the heavens will dwell, and all the beasts of the field will be on its fallen branches v13 so that all the trees by the waters may not be exalted in the stature, nor set their top among the clouds, nor their well waters might ones stand in their height, for they have all been given over to death, to the earth beneath, among the sons of men, with those who go down to the pit” v14. The woman in the garden of Eden was the precious stone (eben) in Gen.

  • not sure if I like this lecture of not. Sproul makes himself an ‘idiot’ and other men too with his comments and that defeats the message/purpose. He defeats his message point by saying that. He has hundreds of great lessons/sermons but, this one could have been much better leaving out the distracting ‘idiot’ comments. he let us down here. This is way too important a subject

  • Gen. 2 & 3 are horribly mistranslated to cover up what really went wrong. Why God turned mankind to dust in Gen. 2:7, which is when mankind lost eternal life as Paul states in 1 Cor. 15:45 (that’s right folks he didn’t nicely make us from the dust like we’ve been led to believe), took one side of the man and built a woman in Gen. 2:21 – 22 (God didn’t make the woman from the mans rib, yet another lie!), and evicted THE MAN (not the woman!) from the garden of Eden, because Yahweh said “behold, THE MAN (not the woman!) has become apart from us doing good and evil . . . ” in Gen. 3:22 – 24 (he hadn’t become “like one of us”, and didn’t just ‘know’ good and evil, but experienced it). In Gen. 2:10 rosh is found in plural form ראשים translated as ‘heads’, ‘headwaters’, ‘branches’, ‘rivers’, or even ‘riverheads’, but ‘heads’ are ‘leaders, masters, captains, fathers, husbands (where male headship is followed)’. Rosh also means ‘poison’! Yahweh said “not good become the man, separation make if only to save opposite” Gen. 2:18 (the man was not alone as we’ve been led to believe). The poison of headship was there in the garden of Eden at the beginning of time, and the reason God separated the woman from the man. Jesus commanded his disciples to “call no one teacher for one is teacher and you are brothers, and call no one father on the earth, one is your father in heaven, neither be called leaders since the leader of you is one the Christ” in Matt. 23:8 – 10, forbidding any type of headship, including fathers who position themselves as the head of the family or congregation in the Roman Catholic Church, anyone who would make themself our master and/or teacher because we are all equal before God.
