Does Fire Emblem Engage Have Multiplayer?

Fire Emblem Engage, a new entry in the Fire Emblem series, does not have traditional co-op or PvP multiplayer features. However, it does offer some online multiplayer options through its Tower of Trials mode. Players can face enemies together or assemble their own teams to take on other champions controlled by AI in Outrealm Trials.

The game’s online features include unique opportunities to form parties and group up in the Tower of Trials, known as Relay Trials. Additionally, players can form their own teams to take on other champions from other players, with that champion controlled by AI in Outrealm Trials.

Despite not having a traditional co-op mode, Fire Emblem Engage does feature an online multiplayer option with its Tower of Trials game mode. The only time players are actively playing with another player is relay, but even then, it’s turn-based, not real-time.

Unlike the Fire Emblem Warriors games, Fire Emblem Engage does not support any local co-op or multiplayer features. However, it does offer two online game modes: the co-op mode called Relay Trials, and the PvP mode called Outrealm Trials.

In summary, Fire Emblem Engage offers some online multiplayer options, such as the Tower of Trials mode and the PvP mode Outrealm Trials, but it lacks traditional co-op or PvP features. The game’s online features and competitive multiplayer make it a promising addition to the Fire Emblem series, offering players a more immersive and engaging gaming experience.

  • The online co op would’ve sold me… If I wasn’t already from the first trailer. Everytime I’ve thought I couldn’t get more hyped for engage I find out about something new that makes me more excited. I’ve never been this excited for a game with the possible exception of Majora’s Mask back when it originally released, gos I’m old

  • I have minimal desire to get Switch Online, so I don’t really care for this myself. I will probably still enjoy perusal streams of it though. However, I would like a two player, one device option. I’ve been playing 3Hopes and it’s really fun having my sister play with me at the same time. I have no idea how this would work in a strategy game, but it could still be fun if done well.
