What episode does Sheldon do it with Amy?

Lets move on to talk about everything thats right about “The Opening Night Excitation,” which is the most perfect TBBT episode. The spoiler is right there: Sheldon and Amy, who spent much of their five-year relationship avoiding physical intimacy, celebrated her birthday by losing their virginity to each other. Its the biggest moment, character-development-wise, in the shows history: bigger than when Howard and Bernadette got married, bigger than when Howards mom died, bigger than Penny and Leonards marriage, and bigger than a potential a Shamy marriage. This seemed like it might never occur. Sheldon has, gradually, become ensconced in a relationship with Amy, so a legal coupling — Sheldon does love to make things contractually binding — shouldnt necessarily come as a surprise. *But…sex? This is a character who considered it a major deal to hug Penny when she presented him with a Leonard Nimoy–autographed used napkin. (Which, as he noted, also contained Nimoys DNA.) Sheldon is deathly afraid of germs, and hadnt even kissed Amy until halfway through season seven. The amount of touching necessary for coitus — his preferred word for sex — made it seem less likely than a wedding for Shamy. And yet, when they finally had coitus, it was as sweet, loving, intimate, and funny as any TBBT viewer could hope. *Six reasons why Shamys devirginization is a classic episode:

Who became Sheldon’s wife?

Amy Farrah Fowler, Ph.D., is a fictional character in the CBS television series The Big Bang Theory, portrayed by Mayim Bialik. Amy is a neuroscientist who is Sheldon Coopers (Jim Parsons) love interest and subsequent wife in the series. She has a PhD in neurobiology (Bialik herself has a PhD in neuroscience), with a research focus on addiction in primates and invertebrates, occasionally mentioning such experiments as getting a capuchin monkey addicted to cigarettes or getting a starfish addicted to cocaine. Amy goes on to win the Nobel Prize in Physics alongside her husband.

Character biographyedit. Amy makes her debut in Season 3, Episode 23 titled The Lunar Excitation (aired May 24, 2010). In the episode, Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) find Amy through an online dating site, after establishing an account in Sheldons name and information. Amy begins to consider Penny a close friend, sometimes referring to her as her bestie, and occasionally admitting that her entire social life revolves around Penny. Amy also often demonstrates an infatuation towards Penny, occasionally bordering on physical attraction. Amy tends to display a condescending attitude towards Bernadette, although she still considers her a close friend. Her feelings towards Sheldon grow considerably over time. Amy thinks he’s perfect, but sometimes she gets frustrated with Sheldon.

  • I actually got teary eyed while perusal this episode…🥲 And I do not cry easily!! As gaudy as Amy’s dress was, she looked Absolutely Beautiful 👰🏻‍♀️❣️ Sheldon loved it too.. he told her she looked like a “Pile Of 🦢” 🥰 I thought that the Pink Sash was a lovely touch❣️ Plus, Amy is a huge fan of the Victorian Era.

  • 1:27 1:46 1:50 2:32 2:39 Like it when Sheldon is surprised and amazed to see Mark Hamill and when he says when this is over, I have 4000 things for you to sign and then when Mark Hamill mentions family friends and all mighty God and Sheldon says that’s too religious and then Mark Hamill says that lady over there made me say it, pointing to Mary.

  • Ya know… if we are closing the loop on this show, wouldn’t it be great to 1: Fix. The. Elevator, 2: help Raj grow up and find someone 3: fix the animosity between Kripke and Sheldon or at least help Sheldon to have some insight into others who are hurting and lonely? 4: let Leonard have a “greatness” moment of validation and self worth?

  • F all the haters. Show is brilliant &rare, coz It’s more than just a sitcom, which this epi proved. In the end, this is amazing story about complex outsiders & love, life. It’s really about Sheldon’s journey, how he evolved&ppl who watched all seasons know, it was long process, you could see it. He is the best developed character in this show&one of the greatest ever created in the history of popculture. This episode has some really funny moments& profound ones. I love it.

  • I still love it when SHELDON is the voice of reason..1:02…….”We have our whole lives to do science together…….” Amy: “Let’s get married…….” (The entire Shamy Fandom……..and everyone else perusal the episode………..AWWW…….) SHAMY were the BEST couple on that show………..

  • I would have liked for them to expand a bit on Amy’s comment about a lateral move rather than upgrade. Amy: Seems more like a lateral move. Stuart: if I may… Amy, we all know you love Little House on the Prairie. Would it be accurate that you were also a fan of The Waltons? Amy: Yes, but what does that have to do with it? Stuart: Suppose instead of someone from sci-fi, you had gotten Richard Thomas to officiate… Amy: John-Boy! Stuart: …now imagine you walk in expecting Richard Thomas at the altar, but instead, through some bizarre incident of time travel, it was Michael Landon standing there. Amy: Michael Landon!!❤️!!❤️!! (HUGE grin, then she faints)

  • How crazy would it have been if it turned out the reason there was a delay is because Sheldon went missing? Imagine Amy or Leonard coming in & saying that Sheldon’s gone. Where has Sheldon gone? What if Sheldon got kidnapped by Ramona Nowitzki & she tied him up like a prisoner in her basement & tried to force him to be with her? That would be 1 hell of a cliffhanger & would carry over to the next season. It would probably end with Ramona being found out, arrested & hauled away in handcuffs, then be put away for a while.

  • Getting Mark Hamill to officiate the wedding is great and all but I feel bad for Will Wheaton. He just gets ditched for a more “famous” person and despite that, he was still cheerful for Sheldon and Amy’s marriage and he lets it happen cuz he knows how much Sheldon loves star wars. What a good friend.

  • AMY: “He said, ‘forever.’” During the ceremony, Amy describing her love as always growing but always seeming that she couldn’t love him anymore, that’s how I felt about TBBT, it was always awesome and seemed like it couldn’t get any funnier or more interesting, but every show was funnier and more interesting than the last….

  • Did they do anything to acknowledge the Stand by Me connection besides just setting the two of them in the same frame? Seems like they could’ve at least had Jerry offer Wil a comb… then maybe look down on his way out and excitedly find a penny on the floor. Or hell, I guess they could’ve worked the character Penny into the gag. Then maybe another gag tail-ender of the two of them reenacting the railroad bridge scene. So many missed opportunities.

  • I believe that the two best TV weddings ever were those of Howard and Bernadette and Sheldon and Amy. And there have been some good ones, too. Remember when Klinger married Soon-Lee on the series finale of M.A.S.H? Maybe not, that was 1983, a long time ago, but it was a great wedding. I am sure there have been others, but they aren’t coming to mind right now. But the two TBBT weddings beat them all IMO.

  • ok I live in the UK England have been too many weddings in the last 40 years also been to two of my own but I would have loved to have been there to watch Sheldon and Amy get married it would have made my day things are sometimes so close to the truth you don’t realise it until it happens on off Amazon always straighten and narrow see eye to eye I visualise the perfect song for Sheldon and Amy’s wedding Knight it would have been Marvin Gaye and Let’s Get It On and also you are all I Ever Wanted Barry White always been a big fan xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • You all do realize these are just characters TRUE NERDS especially at the professional level of these characters are JERKS AND THE MEN constantly chase or if they have enough money marry Airhead Barbie’s. (which is why I love Penny’s character so much because she was AMAZING). It would be nice if REAL NERDS could handle real friendships like these characters.
